There is NO stopping her! Seriously!
We're delighted to report that Adele's sophomore album, 21, has set a new record by becoming the fastest-selling digital album to surpass the 1 million mark in the United States, having sold 1,017,000 copies!
According to Nielsen SoundScan, the British songstress beat out the current record holder, Eminem's Recovery, which had 1,005,000 digital albums sold.
Unbelievable! We couldn't be more thrilled for her!
So well-deserved!
Congratulations, gurl!

Have you ever at any time noticed that the things you buy every week in the grocery and hardware stores go up a couple of cents in between purchasing trips? Not by muchjust by a little each week but they carry on to creep up and up.All it takes for your cost to leap up by a great deal is a little hiccup within the globe wide marketplace, note the price of gasoline because it relates to globe affairs. There's a way that we can maintain these cost increases from impacting our individual finances so a lot and that's by buying in quantity and finding the best possible prices for your issues we use and will carry on to make use of everyday issues that will keep just as well on the shelves in our houses as it does on the shelves in the grocery shop or hardware store. For example, dog food and cat food expenses about 10% less when purchased through the case than it does when purchased at the single can cost and if you watch for close out costs you save a great deal much more than that.
Put aside some space inside your home and create a checklist of issues that you simply use regularly which will not spoil. Any grain or grain goods will require to become stored in airtight containers that rats cant get into so maintain that in mind. Then set out to find the best costs you are able to get on amount purchases of this kind of issues as bathroom items and dry and canned food. You will be surprised at how much you can conserve by purchasing a twenty pound bag of rice versus a one pound bag but dont forget that it must be stored in a rat proof container. You are able to purchase some clothing items like mens socks and underwear because these designs dont change, steer clear of purchasing childrens and womens clothes, these styles change and measurements change as well drastically.Try to obtain and maintain a two yr provide of those products and you are able to save hundreds of dollars.

Filmmaker Sidney Lumet Dies At 86
Another Hollywood legend has passed away.
American filmmaker Sidney Lumet died Saturday morning in his Manhattan home at the age of 86.
Known for directing film classics such as 12 Angry Men, Serpico, Dog Day Afternoon, The Verdict, and Network, his stepdaughter Leslie Gimbel, says Lumet died from lymphoma.
He once said:
"While the goal of all movies is [...]
Sesame Street continues to be a universal learning tool for children as it will now be broadcast in Pakistan to help boost education.
The U.S. is donating $20 million to fund a local version of the show, which will have the traditional New York City setting swapped for a Pakistani village.
Don't expect to see Big Bird or Cookie Monster though, as the show will feature new characters including Rani, a six-year-old female puppet with pigtails and a blue-and-white school uniform and will speak in Urdu.
Writer for the Pakistani version, Imraan Peerzada says:
"She will represent what little girls have to go through in this gender-biased society.
We are not avoiding religionâ but we don't want to label children…the basic learning tools of literacyâ numeracyâ hygieneâ and healthy eating have to be in place first."
Good work, Sesame Street. What a fantastic idea.

Janet Jackson Kicks Off Her World Tour In Manila, Philippines
Let me tell you about my Friday … my very looooooooong and drawn out Friday … ugh. So, earlier this week I discovered that my car battery had died so I decided to take it into the VW dealership to have it replaced. Now, I know I could’ve gotten the battery replaced for much cheaper somewhere else but I love my car and really like having the dealership take care of these sorts of things. I’ve never had a problem with my car before so … what the Hell. Then my long day began …
Basically, I spent the entirety of my life stuck in the waiting room trying to entertain myself with anything available. To be honest, the wait wasn’t that long … but it did take longer than they said it would. The drive home was another story. It took me almost 2 hours to get from the dealership to my home … roughly 8 miles. I damn near lost my mind but … my car had to be fixed, it’s all over now.
Tonight, David and I are preparing our home for a massive party. David decided to invite everyone we know in LA to come over for a pre/anti Super Bowl party. He got all fancy and ordered a bartender and everything … it should be fun. I spent a couple hours compiling the music playlist. I amassed 16 hours of music … hopefully that will be enough. I hope all your Super Bowl weekends will be fun! Yay!!

It Looks Like Britney Spears Will Co Headline Her Tour With Enrique Iglesias
Ricky Martin kicked off his new Musica+Alma+Sexo World Tour in his homeland of Puerto Rico last night and he unveiled his new leather daddy look on stage. I’m thinkin’ Ricky‘s outfit is meant to look like a badass motorcyle outfit but, IMHO, it ended up looking more silly than badass. Check out the photos below and see for yourselves.
Oh, Ricky. This outfit looks like he got it at a Backstreet Boy garage sale. Yeah, I’m not really feelin’ it. Ricky has 3 more nights in Puerto Rico before he brings his tour to the mainland for a tour of the rest of the US before he takes the show international. David is really wanting to see Ricky in concert when he comes here to LA … so … I might be seeing this outfit up close and personal. Um … can’t wait.

Jermaine Jackson Settles Child Support Case, Still Has To Pay Big Buck$
The law finally caught up with Jermaine Jackson.
He's been ordered to pay $80,000 to his baby momma Alejandra Jackson for back child support.
Jermaine claims that paying the huge amount is a financial burden for him. He adds, "I'm not rich like Michael was."
The terms of the settlement orders him to give Alejandra a $5,000 [...]
If Terry Gilliam is involved with the reboot, we can probably assume Johnny Depp will get a role!
According to recent reports, a 3D Time Bandits reboot is in the works. No word yet on whether or not Gilliam will produce and/or direct, but hopefully he'll be involved on some level.
His most recent film, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, was visually phenomenal! Could be inneresting to see Gilliam apply that visual style to the bizarre world of Time Bandits.
Do U think Time Bandits should be rebooted? Would U like to see Terry Gilliam and Johnny Depp get involved with the project?

Russell Simmons Apologizes For Calling Courtney Love A Crackhead
This industry is tough enough. No need to turn on your own kind.
Recently, Courtney Love accidentally uploaded nude pictures of herself to Twitter. While most people just let it slide, Russell Simmons decided to call C Love out on it and tweeted that she was a "crackhead" for screwing up.
Obviously, the media quickly called him [...]
How frustrating is it trying to find a song you're unsure of with only 30 seconds to go on?
It WAS very frustrating, but it won't be anymore, because Apple has decided to triple song preview lengths on iTunes from 30 to 90 seconds!
As long as the song isn't less than 2 minutes and 30 seconds, you'll now have 90 seconds to decide if a song is worth purchasing or not.
Here's a statement by Apple from a letter they sent to labels:
"We are pleased to let you know that we are preparing to increase the length of music previews from 30 seconds to 90 seconds on the iTunes Store in the United States. We believe that giving potential customers more time to listen to your music will lead to more purchases."
We agree! Sometimes you THINK you found the right song, but if the preview starts at the wrong place, you may never get to the chorus to find out.
We're glad to hear we'll never have to worry about that again!
Awesome move, Apple! We're impressed and excited for longer song previews!
What do U think of Apple's decision? Will longer song previews affect your decision to purchase songs from iTunes?

Cher Does ‘Vanity Fair’ Magazine
Yesterday was Election Day here in the US and for the most part, all of the candidates and propositions that I voted for here in California either won or passed … so, on that front, I am happy:
Naturally, I’m not at all happy with the way many elections turned out in the rest of the country but as a student of political science, I was not only prepared for it … I was expecting it. Midterm elections tend to swing back and forth wildly from one party to the other so it came as no surprise that control of the House of Representatives went to the Republican party. All 435 seats in the House go up for reelection every 2 years so it’s natural that control can change drastically from election to election. I’m actually most concerned about the 2012 election more than anything. We’ll have to see how things turn out in 2 years time.
Last night I met up with my dear Angi for dinner at La Boheme in West Hollywood, CA and we had a fantastic time together. I always have a great time just hanging out and chatting with Angi … tho, eating together adds to the fun, too ;) We had a fine night.
I have tentative plans to hang out with Adriana tonight, so hopefully those plans will pan out. It’s gonna be in the 90′s today here in La today … so, yeah, it’s gonna be a Hot Hump Day!

Audrina Gives Deets On New Reality Show
After getting kicked off Dancing with the Stars, Audrina Patridge isn't too sad considering she's got a new reality show in the works.
And she's got all the deets on her "real" and "raw" VH1 debut!
Audrina said:

It's almost as difficult to find Seth Rogen on this Green Hornet poster as it used to be to find Waldo in those over-sized books!
Looks like Columbia thinks that a car with a machine gun on it is more of a draw than Rogen!
We wonder if he'll take extreme offense to this, given the fact that he worked really hard to get into good shape for the role.
Do U like the poster? Or would U prefer to have Rogen less hidden?

PITNB Readers, Hallowe’en 2010
Penn Badgley turns 24 years old today and in celebration of his birthday, he was presented with a chocolate cake on the set of Gossip Girl in NYC earlier today. Unfortch for Penn, because this impromptu birthday party took place on the GG set, he had to “celebrate” with his ex-girlfriend and GG co-star Blake Lively:
Now, it’s entirely possible that things between Penn and Blake are just fine in the wake of their recent break-up … then again, things could be totally shitty depending who did the breaking up with who … especially when you consider that the couple have to work so closely together on set day after day. Let’s send all of our Birthday Lurve to Penn today in the hopes that his birthday is a Happy one, not a Crappy one.
